Mothers Day

Hope everyone had a great Mothers Day!

Ry and i spent the weekend building my present.:)

well, i did the top wood planks.. sanding and such, and he did the rest. sure is nice of him to let

me take some of the credit. the design of it and say i 'helped' with building it. hah!

Wednesday we went to SanFrancisco for an appointment for Case.. went Very well, maybe ill post more about that later. Stayed the night, Appointment on Thursday.. after that, came home.

Friday went to Home Depot for our supplies

and we were finished, stained and Everything, Saturday. It got to come in on Sunday.

we're pretty excited about it.

Ry Got this built super fast. Im glad he's so talented.

putting the doors on.

Here was my job (pic above) i was roughing up the top planks with a hammer, screws.. and whatever else... wanted it to look 'rustic'
then time to pick a stain. we lucked out and actually had the stain already (Rys cousin Luke used to live with us and he'd make beds and had tons of stain left over. we didnt choose any above.. we went with Walnut.

and here it is! i woulda made the top look a little More rustic, but hey, for our first time making our custom entertainment center/walk along thing for Case/ Toy Storage/bench ect.. i think we did pretty good.


I LOVE how ry hid the wires from the TV. so clean looking... and nothing to temp Mr.Case back there.. i know he'll climb on it one day, but at least its sturdy enough! :) Case is really trying hard to get those doors open.. but they are baby proofed (the whOLE point we made this).. he sure is determined though.. Ry is so smart he made holes...(in the form of a blade cut) on the front of the doors, for the signals from the remotes. he's a thinker!

later on, after we got the MONSTROUS thing inside the house, and admired it for a while, Ry and Case got me a card and Case got me a cute sparkly necklace with the letter 'C'... my first mothers day was Perfect... their presents made me cry and i feel so happy to have these two guys in my life. and i have to say im so excited to get noodle necklaces and painted hand pictures from Case when he gets big! ill probably cry every single time too
